More about Edsights

Who can use EdSights?

Everyone! After testing our app at Georgetown University we have seen tremendous success and decided to make EdSights available to the public. If you enjoy our product, tell your colleagues about us - we love growing our community.

Do I have to pay for it?

Downloading and using a basic version of EdSights is free for both instructors and students. However, we offer a premium version that schools can purchase for all their professors. This version includes some key features like student engagement analytics as well as more robust surveying tools. For more information on our premium product please email us.

Who else is using EdSights?

Professors from hundreds of post-secondary schools are using ClassPulse.

Does it work on all smartphones?

EdSights is compatible with both iPhones and Androids. You can download EdSights on the App store or Google Play store.

Can everyone in the class see posts that students share?

The default setting allows students to view and agree with each other's posts. However, professors can choose to hide specific student posts and respond privately.

Are student posts anonymous?

Instructors are given the option to allow students to share anonymous posts when they add a class. If they allow anonymity, students will be able to choose whether they want to be anonymous when they share a post. Instructors can also change this setting at any point during the semester in their settings.

Can I add a co-admin?

Yes. You may add co-professors or TAs to co-administer the course. You can specify this when you add a course or later in your settings.

Okay, I want to try this out. Do you have a demo to show me how to it set up and start using it?

We tried to make EdSights as intuitive as possible but we do have some videos that might help. Here is a video that walks you through the steps of setting up the EdSights mobile app in your class and here is a video that gives you an overview of the app.

I'm using EdSights. Do you have any tips to increase student engagement?
