EdSights Recognizes PERSIST 2024 Award Recipients

Last month, EdSights hosted its annual PERSIST Summit in Austin, TX. Over 150 college and university leaders gathered to discuss the key drivers impacting student persistence, focusing on amplifying the student voice and increasing college completion rates. The event offered a collaborative space to learn, network, and share strategies for student success.

At the close of the event, EdSights honored eight institutions with PERSIST 2024 Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in various areas. We are thrilled to celebrate these partners for their exceptional contributions. This year's award categories included:

Rising Star: Ivy Tech Community College - Kokomo

This award honors a newer partner who has quickly shown a profound understanding of EdSights and achieved early success in outreach, student engagement, and workflow optimization. Theresa Murphy and her team at Ivy Tech Kokomo have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success, leveraging custom campaigns to engage students and ensuring each interaction is meaningful and impactful.

Maverick Mover: Finger Lakes Community College

This award celebrates innovative, impactful student engagement strategies, recognizing a partner that has used thoughtful, personalized communication to significantly enhance student connections. Finger Lakes Community College created a dedicated messaging framework specifically for PaCE students, a strategic approach that has fostered strong engagement and meaningful connections.

Excellence in Execution: High Point University

Awarded to a partner who has mastered workflow and executed complex projects with outstanding efficiency, demonstrating exceptional project management skills and rapid implementation. Andy Bills and his team at High Point University have worked diligently to create a streamlined workflow that consistently supports students. Their commitment to student success is evident in how they actively use EdSights reports to guide targeted outreach and provide timely follow-up for students in need.

Smooth Operator: Oklahoma State University

This award is given to a partner who excels in project and change management during implementation, showcasing outstanding onboarding and creative communication strategies. Oklahoma State University demonstrated strong performance in both onboarding and communication, creating a seamless experience for students and staff.

Leadership in Persistence: Johnson & Wales University

This award honors a partner who achieved remarkable results in improving student persistence through a steadfast commitment to student success. Johnson & Wales University saw significant retention gains from 2022 to 2023, surpassing their goals on both campuses, including an impressive 8% increase at one campus. While they credit various retention efforts, they acknowledge that their chatbot has played a vital role. Their dedication to fully utilizing EdSights data, organizing, and sharing each check-in’s insights has been essential to their success.

Student Voice Score Awards

These awards honor our partners who achieve exceptional Student Voice Scores, highlighting institutions dedicated to delivering an outstanding student experience by actively listening to, understanding, and responding to student feedback. This recognition celebrates their commitment to fostering an environment where student satisfaction is a top priority.
